The Mirror Effect
Success in recruiting and leadership begins with self-awareness. The Mirror Effect focuses on how emotional intelligence, stress regulation, and personal resilience directly impact communication, trust, and sustained performance in both professional and personal environments. This session provides soldiers and spouses with a shared foundation and language around stress, emotional regulation, and high-performance habits. Attendees will explore practical strategies to recognize emotional triggers, improve communication in recruiting and leadership roles, and strengthen resilience in high-pressure environments.

From Burnout to
High Performance
Recruiting requires consistent mental toughness, adaptability, and confidence under pressure. This applied workshop moves beyond theory to focus on real-world strategies that help soldiers manage stress, maintain motivation, and perform at a high level despite daily challenges. Participants will learn practical techniques for handling rejection, improving decision-making under pressure, and building confidence and mental reset routines that can be used immediately in their recruiting mission. Drawing from performance psychology methods used with elite athletes, executives, and high-performing professionals, Dr. Garza provides actionable tools designed to strengthen focus, resilience, and sustained performance.
Dr. Jessica Garza, is a highly rated TED and Keynote speaker with 17+ years of experience, who holds a PhD in performance psychology and master's degrees in clinical mental health and sport-exercise psychology. Sponsored by the Army's "Strong Bonds" program, this workshop is ideal for couples looking to enhance their connection and teamwork.
All spouses on Invitational Travel Orders are required to attend with their Soldier. However, all spouses are invited and encouraged to attend. Even if your partner can't join, you'll gain valuable insights that can benefit your relationship and personal development.
